Why important payments still get missed

Most missed payments aren't about money. They happen because financial dates are scattered, irregular and easy to push to “later”.

Every card has its own cycle

Two or three credit cards, each with a different statement date and due date, is enough to lose track in a busy month.

Autopay isn't foolproof

Mandates expire, cards get replaced and balances run low. A payment you assumed was automatic can quietly fail.

Once-a-year dates are forgettable

Insurance renewals, annual subscriptions and FD maturities come around so rarely that there's no habit to rely on.

One reminder app for every financial due date

Set reminders for the payments and dates that matter to your household.

Credit card payment reminders

Pay the total amount due on time and avoid late fees and interest.

EMI reminders

Home, car, personal and education loan EMIs, so the account is funded before the debit.

Insurance premium reminders

Health, term, life and motor renewals, well before a policy lapses.

SIP reminders

Keep enough balance for SIP debits across different fund platforms.

FD maturity reminders

Decide what to do with a maturing deposit instead of letting it renew by default.

Subscription renewals

Streaming, software and membership renewals you may want to review first.

Tax, rent & school fees

Advance tax instalments, rent, society maintenance and school fee deadlines.

Custom financial dates

Any other date you don't want to carry in your head.

One-time or recurring — set it once

Most financial obligations repeat. Choose a frequency when you create a reminder and Finotop keeps track of the next due date for you.

Recurring reminders are especially useful for EMIs and credit card bills, where the due date stays the same every month, and for insurance premiums that renew on the same date each year.

Enter a title, category, amount and due date — for example “HDFC credit card, ₹18,450, 18 September”.

  2. Choose how often it repeats

Pick one-time, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly.

  3. Link it to an account

Optionally connect the reminder to the card, loan or policy it belongs to.

  4. Get reminded

See upcoming and overdue items on your dashboard, and on WhatsApp with Finotop Plus.

WhatsApp payment reminders

Reminders on WhatsApp, where you'll actually see them.

Email reminders get buried under promotions and app notifications are easy to swipe away. With Finotop Plus, you can choose to receive your financial reminders on WhatsApp.

  • Clear messages with the payee, amount and due date
  • Works for every reminder type — cards, EMIs, premiums, SIPs and more
  • Delivered to the WhatsApp number you choose to add
  • Reminders are still shown in your Finotop account

Good habits that make reminders more useful

  • Use the payment due date, not the statement date. For credit cards, the due date is usually a couple of weeks after the statement is generated. The due date is the one that matters for late fees.
  • Record the amount you actually intend to pay. For cards, that should normally be the total amount due, not the minimum amount due.
  • Add renewals as soon as you buy a policy. The best time to set a yearly reminder is the day you receive the policy document.
  • Keep autopay, but verify it. Reminders and autopay work well together: autopay pays, the reminder prompts you to check the balance is there.

Payment reminder questions

What payments can Finotop remind me about?

Credit card bills, loan EMIs, insurance premiums, SIP dates, fixed deposit maturities, subscription renewals, rent, school fees, tax payments and any other financial date you want to remember.

Can I set recurring payment reminders?

Yes. A reminder can be one-time or repeat monthly, quarterly, half-yearly or yearly, which covers most EMIs, card bills, SIPs and insurance premiums.

Does Finotop pay my bills for me?

No. Finotop reminds you about payments; it does not move money or pay bills on your behalf. You keep paying through your bank, card issuer or payment app as usual.

Do I need WhatsApp to get reminders?

No. Reminders appear inside your Finotop account on every plan. WhatsApp delivery is an optional Finotop Plus feature for people who prefer to receive reminders where they already chat.

I already use autopay. Why would I need reminders?

Autopay can fail when an account balance is low, a mandate expires or a card is replaced. A reminder before the due date gives you time to check the balance and confirm the payment will go through.
